The typical music singer Roxana Jaen has surprised his followers by revealing this week that he underwent bariatric surgery to transform your life and regain your health.
It was through his Instagram account where ‘The diamond voice of the drum’ He shared with emotion every detail of this new beginning that, in his words, “It is just beginning, but there are already noticeable changes.”
Before the surgery that was performed in September in Barranquilla, Colombia, Roxana weighed 322.6 pounds.
“Everyone who knows me knows how many processes I went through to lose weight”confessed Roxana, who recalled the difficult stages in which she depended on diet pills.
“Most of the time he took pills to lose weight, which caused a rebound effect over time, managing to gain three times the weight,” he wrote, revealing the tough battle he faced against obesity.
Roxana was clear when she said that obesity is a disease and that it is often judged without understanding. “Many people criticize without knowing. In my case, psychologically I felt that without pills I couldn’t achieve it. I started to have problems sleeping, with my spine, and with self-esteem,” said the artist, who decided to seek professional help until she found the doctor in the land of vallenato.
Regarding her experience, the typiquera did not skimp on praise: “From day one she inspired me with all the confidence and security in the world. Her attention as a doctor is the best, she is always attentive to her patients and to this day I have not had any type of complication.”
Roxana explained that the procedure is not “magical”, but that it requires commitment, discipline and a total change of habits.
“This surgery is not the easiest path, you also have to help yourself and know that your habits must change forever. I don’t want negative comments, I am interested in positive energy to make this process more bearable”said the interpreter, who revealed that Since September 13, the date the surgery was performed, he has managed to lose 43 pounds and three sizes.
Excited, Roxana said she felt “like the phoenix, rising again from the ashes”.
“Reconciling the mind with the body is priceless. Being able to sleep, feeling beautiful and full of life is the best feeling. This surgery was the best decision I could make,” she said, thanking her family, friends and her partner Yami Saldaña, who accompanied her from day one.
“This is just beginning, but there are already changes. Thank you to everyone who supported me and believed in me. This is another example that wanting is power,” he pointed out.
