Sicilian singer-songwriter and musician Simona Norato is set to release her third solo album on June 3rd, distributed by Artist First. As a prelude, she has unveiled her rendition of Laurie Anderson’s iconic track, “From the Air (Nessun Pilota),” available now on digital platforms and radio since May 12th. This release offers a glimpse into the album’s avant-garde sound, characterized by its innovative use of electronics to enhance the emotional depth and lyrical content.

Catapulted into a contry at the beginning of a journey to the end,” she explains,It is a logical consequence that we have not observed,we had sworn to follow a rule that we then transgressed. And now while everything falls there is no pilot, but we are not alone. This sentiment resonates with the anxieties of our times, were individuals frequently enough feel adrift amidst rapid societal changes and technological advancements. Simona Norato: A Career Defined by Innovation and Collaboration

A Palermo native, Simona Norato began her songwriting journey in 2001, founding the band F-Male Croix, which achieved recognition at events like Arezzo Wave and Giffoni Music Concept. In 2008, she began collaborating with Antonio Dimartino, opening the May 1st concert in Piazza San Giovanni in rome.Her accolades include winning Musicultura in 2010 with Serena Ganci, and forming the projects Iotatola and Miss Mousse.
