“Yes, I had a video call as usual, chatted as usual until he asked permission to rest, at that time Wednesday afternoon he made a video call,” said Marliani Ahmad, quoted from DetiksulselMonday (9/3).
Marliani said she made a video call with her husband on Wednesday (5/3), the day before the ship captained by Miswar reportedly exploded and sank on Thursday morning.
“On Thursday at 9 am he still had time to WA (WhatsApp message) to say goodbye to sailing, leaving in the afternoon, he said, God willing, arriving in the afternoon on Friday,” he explained.
Marliani said her husband sailed to pick up a friend’s damaged ship. However, Miswar did not tell his wife that the ship to be picked up was in the Strait of Hormuz.
“He only said that he was picking up damaged ships,” he said.
