Shakira‘s Washington DC Concert Canceled Due to Logistics Issues

The “Women No Longer Cry” tour faces another setback as the Washington DC show is called off due to production delays. Shakira expresses her regret.

The highly anticipated Shakira concert scheduled for this Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the National Stadium in WASHINGTON DC has been canceled. The announcement was made on Friday, May 30, leaving fans disappointed. The cancellation stems from logistical complications,as the production team was unable to transport equipment from Boston in time. Shows in Boston were also canceled on May 29 and 30 due to the same issues. These challenges have substantially impacted the Colombian artist’s U.S. tour.

In an official statement,Shakira conveyed her disappointment to her fans. “Due to circumstances outside my will, it saddens me and it hurts not to be with you tomorrow at WASHINGTON DC I hope to return as soon as I can,” she said, expressing gratitude for her audience’s unwavering support.

Organizers have confirmed that refunds for tickets purchased through Ticketmaster or the Nationals website will be processed automatically. Those who acquired tickets through other vendors are advised to contact their respective suppliers for reimbursement details.

This is not the first challenge faced by the “Women No Longer Cry” tour. Recently, the New Jersey health Department issued a warning about potential measles exposure during Shakira’s concert at Metlife stadium, which was the second stop on the tour following its commencement in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Adding to the list of incidents, Shakira experienced a fall onstage while performing in Montreal, Canada. Even though the audience was briefly alarmed, she quickly recovered and continued the show, downplaying the incident. Despite these numerous hurdles, the artist is persistent to continue her international tour, albeit with ongoing delays and unforeseen circumstances.
