Shaw, incarcerated at Dublin’s Arbour Hill Prison, was reportedly informed of the Irish Prison Service’s decision last week.

John Shaw, along with Geoffrey Evans, committed a series of heinous crimes in 1976, including the murders of Elizabeth Plunkett and Mary Duffy. The pair became known as Ireland’s first serial killers. Shaw and Evans targeted young women, luring them into their vehicle before raping and murdering them.
