The luxury of being able to be everything
It is graceful and remarkable, both delicate and robust: the Serenade Luna in “skyline blue” mobilizes all its resources and thus embodies modern and confident femininity. Its ultra-fine mother-of-pearl dial is covered on the back with several layers of dark varnish. By interacting with the natural texture of the material, the color of the dial changes from a light silvery blue to a dark and intense smoky blue. This effect is reminiscent of the glass facades of a cityscape’s horizon: when viewed from the front, the surface generally appears a uniform blue. However, looking up to the upper floors, we notice that the glass panels reflect the cloud cover in all its nuances. The new Serenade Luna manages to capture both the dreamy, ephemeral aspect of this spectacle and the imposing presence of modern architecture.
A remarkable entry
The refined appearance of the dial is enhanced by diamonds and steel; these two materials contrast with the soft shine of mother-of-pearl to give the watch a fresh and clear shine. The bezel of the 32.5 mm diameter stainless steel case is adorned with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds. They find their counterpart in the diamond indexes, hand-set into the mother-of-pearl dial, as well as in the small silver stars, printed with the greatest care on and around the moon phase display at 6 o’clock. Just like the dial, the lunar disc is made entirely of mother-of-pearl. To give depth to the firmament, four blue circles are painted and lacquered on the back of the disc. The moon appears visually at the intersection with the lunar window and shines in the natural white of mother-of-pearl. The outline of the display aperture, the slim hands and the setting of the diamond indexes are made of solid white gold – and thus are in perfect harmony. The watch is accompanied by a stainless steel bracelet whose clean lines recall the sober aesthetic of modern architecture.
