A recent survey conducted by the city government, polling 2,546 individuals, revealed a strong interest in topics related to emerging technologies and socioeconomic trends. Artificial intelligence topped the list,with nearly half (49.7%) of respondents expressing a desire for content in this area. Economic and financial literacy (46.0%) and environmental issues (34.9%) also emerged as meaningful areas of concern.

Career Aspirations: Food Stylists, baristas, and more
When asked about specific professions they would like to learn more about through YouTube content, respondents identified food stylists (49.5%), baristas (37.6%), and acoustic supervisors (29.7%) as top choices. This indicates a growing interest in creative and service-oriented careers, potentially driven by the desire for flexible work arrangements and opportunities for self-expression.
Delivery methods and Content Preferences
While online content delivery remains the most popular option (49.3%), the survey revealed a preference for blended online and offline approaches among older age groups. This suggests that while digital resources are valuable, there is still a strong desire for in-person interaction and hands-on learning experiences.
In terms of content format,videos that provide essential educational details (35.0%), entertaining and easily digestible content (24.2%), and emotionally resonant stories (23.9%) were identified as the most appealing. This highlights the importance of creating content that is not only informative but also engaging and relatable.

Based on the survey findings, the Seoul metropolitan Government plans to produce customized content that caters to the diverse interests and needs of its residents. In addition to the popular topics of barista skills and food styling, the channel will feature a briefing session on the “2026 occasional support strategy” in august. This proactive approach demonstrates the city’s commitment to providing timely and relevant resources for its citizens.
