Stock Market Close Highlights, December 30, 2025: Indian benchmark indices ended flat with a negative bias on Tuesday, as strong buying in PSU bank, metal and auto counters was offset by selling in IT, FMCG, realty and pharma shares.
At close, the BSE Sensex stood at 84,675.08, down 20.46 points or 0.02 per cent, while the NSE Nifty50 settled at 25,938.85, lower by 3.25 points or 0.01 per cent.
Among the Sensex constituents, Eternal, Infosys, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cement and Bajaj Finance were the top losers, while M&M, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finserv and Axis Bank featured among the top gainers.
In the broader markets, the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 indices ended lower by 0.15 per cent and 0.28 per cent, respectively.
Sectorally, Nifty Realty, IT and Pharma were among the top laggards, declining 0.84 per cent, 0.74 per cent and 0.17 per cent, respectively. On the flipside, Nifty PSU Bank, Metal and Auto indices were among the notable gainers, rising 1.69 per cent, 2.03 per cent and 1.08 per cent, respectively.
