Second Life Festival Returns to Strasbourg: A Festivity of Music and Sustainability


A Day-and-Night Extravaganza of Eco-Consciousness and Sound

Strasbourg is gearing up for the second edition of the Second Life festival, a vibrant event that merges music, art, and environmental consciousness. Scheduled for April 12th, this festival promises a 14-hour immersion into a world where creativity meets sustainability. The festival will unfold across two distinct locations in the La Meinau neighborhood, offering a diverse range of experiences from afternoon workshops to late-night musical performances.

Daytime Delights: Pop-Ups, Workshops, and Local Beats at Junkers Building

The festival kicks off at 2 PM at the Junkers Building (33 rue du Maréchal lefebvre), transforming the space into a hub of sustainable innovation. Attendees can explore ten pop-up shops showcasing unique creations crafted from repurposed materials. This focus on reuse aligns wiht growing consumer interest in sustainable products; recent studies indicate a 66% increase in demand for eco-friendly goods over the past five years.

In addition to the marketplace, the Junkers Building will host a series of interactive workshops designed to educate and inspire attendees in various artistic and sustainable practices. Here, the Carbon 14 collectives and La Tartine will curate a nighttime program that extends the celebration until 4 AM. The Colod’art space will be transformed with a scenography crafted entirely from recycled materials, underscoring the festival’s commitment to sustainability.

The evening’s musical lineup promises a dynamic mix of artists, ensuring a high-energy atmosphere that lasts into the early hours.Entry to the Colod’art portion of the festival requires a ticket, with prices ranging from 8 to 12 euros. Tickets are available for purchase online.
