Crystal McKinney, who is currently pursuing legal action against Sean combs, has broadened her legal battle by filing a separate lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein. The suit, lodged in Manhattan Federal Court on Friday, May 30, centers on allegations of a sexual assault that purportedly occurred in 2003.

According to the lawsuit,McKinney claims that an unnamed modeling executive arranged a meeting with Weinstein under the guise of discussing “business opportunities.” McKinney, aspiring to enter the film industry, brought her roommate, also a model, to the meeting at a nightclub.

McKinney alleges that Weinstein, citing the club’s noise, invited them to his hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Battery Park Hotel. There, she claims, Weinstein “plied” them with alcohol before allegedly grabbing her breasts, causing drinks to spill. The lawsuit further details that weinstein then “barged” into the bathroom where she and her roommate were, exposed himself, and forced them to engage in sexual acts with each other before raping them. As of press time, there has been no response from Weinstein’s attorney regarding these allegations.

In a separate legal action initiated in may 2024, McKinney accused Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting her. She claims that she met Combs at a dinner during Men’s Fashion Week in 2003, where he allegedly behaved “in a sexually suggestive manner” and “plied” her with alcohol at Cipriani Downtown.

the lawsuit against Combs further alleges that he invited her to his Manhattan recording studio following the dinner. McKinney, believing it to be a safe, professional environment, accepted the invitation. Though, she alleges that Combs gave her a joint laced with narcotics, after which he forced her to perform oral sex on him.

McKinney claims she lost consciousness shortly after and awoke “in shock to find herself in a taxicab.” Combs has denied all accusations and is currently facing trial after his arrest in September. He has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy. If convicted, he could face a life sentence. Casandra “cassie” Ventura, another of Combs’ accusers, has testified, alleging emotional, physical, and sexual abuse over a decade. Dawn Richard and Kid Cudi have also testified, supporting Ventura’s claims during the trial.

Weinstein is currently undergoing a retrial on sexual assault and rape charges.In his initial 2020 case, he was convicted on two of five charges and sentenced to 23 years in prison. However, an appeals court overturned the conviction in April 2024, citing that prosecutors improperly allowed other accusers to testify about unrelated allegations.

Weinstein was also convicted of rape and sexual assault in a separate California case,receiving a 16-year prison sentence. He has also filed an appeal in that case.
