A 22-year-old man in Strasbourg is facing jail time after a reckless scooter ride led to the revelation of a critically important quantity of illegal drugs. The incident unfolded on a Sunday afternoon when the individual was observed traveling at an alarming 70 km/h on the Route de Schirmeck. This blatant disregard for traffic laws promptly caught the attention of local police.

From Scooter to Foot Pursuit: A Botched Escape

Following the arrest, authorities conducted a search of the suspect’s residence, which yielded even more incriminating evidence. The search uncovered six kilograms of cannabis resin, valued at around €30,000, along with an additional 124 grams of cocaine, worth approximately €7,000. Police also seized equipment commonly used for packaging and distributing narcotics, solidifying the case against the young man.

He was ultimately sentenced to two years in prison,with an additional three months added for resisting arrest.
