Around 4 PM, law enforcement officers initiated a traffic stop of a moped on Bimmelsweg. After determining the moped was in compliance, officers noticed three other scooters approaching. These scooters were also signaled to stop, and they complied. As an officer was verifying the driver’s license of one of the scooter operators,the 19-year-old suspect from Borsele suddenly accelerated,attempting to evade the check. The officer,in an attempt to stop the fleeing suspect,grabbed onto the driver.the suspect continued to accelerate, dragging the officer for several meters until they crashed into a barbed wire fence.
the suspect was immediately apprehended at the scene.

The 19-year-old from Borsele now faces multiple charges, including driving without a valid driver’s license, ignoring a police order to stop, and tampering with the license plate to obstruct identification.
