The annual Charity Cup, organized by BSC 95 Schwerin, celebrated its tenth year with a resounding success, exceeding previous fundraising efforts and solidifying its place as a key community event. This year’s tournament, held on Saturday, April 12th, brought together recreational badminton enthusiasts to support a vital cause.

This year,the Charity Cup raised an remarkable €1,700 through participant entry fees. Over 70 recreational athletes participated, contributing to the substantial donation. Anja Cramer, representative of diversity gGmbH, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the symbolic check from BSC CEO Robert Haker.

while the event focused on charitable giving, the competition was fierce. Participants battled for victory in men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles categories. The men’s doubles title was claimed by BSC 95, while the local police sports club secured the win in the women’s doubles. The mixed doubles title went to the team of Thomas Elektro/baltic Acoustics. However, the NDR’s operating sports group successfully defended their team cup title with a total of 45 points across all three categories, followed by SV Breitling Rostock and the tournament hosts.
