Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Manulife Wealth & Asset Management and Schroder Investment Management Limited today jointly announced the signing of an agreement in which PT Manulife Asset Management Indonesia (MAMI) will acquire PT Schroder Investment Management Indonesia (Schroders Indonesia).
In a release with the two entities, this acquisition is said to be optimizing the combination of in -depth experiences of the two companies and expanding the variety of world -class investment solutions for customers.
This transaction is expected to be completed after all certain closing requirements are met, including the approval of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Until the acquisition process is completely completed, the two companies will continue to operate independently and maintain full compliance with all applicable regulations.
The presence of Manulife Wealth & Asset Management in Indonesia began in 1996 with the establishment of Mami, who is now the largest investment manager in Indonesia. Meanwhile, Schroders Indonesia has been established for three decades, becoming the fifth largest investment manager in Indonesia.
“We unite two leading investment manager companies in Indonesia with a selaras vision to provide added value for customers and all stakeholders. This acquisition will build a stronger investment platform to support the needs of Indonesian customers who continue to grow in the future,” said Fabio Fontainha, Head of Wealth and Asset Management, Asia, Manulife, in an official statement, Wednesday (9/24/2025).
Meanwhile, Chris Durrack, Chair of Asia, Schroders, said Schroders Indonesia found partners who have customer -oriented philosophy and long -term vision.
“This partnership opens new growth opportunities, both for our customers and for our team,” Durrack said.
Financial-related matters of this transaction are not disclosed.
To note, as of 30 June 2025, Mami manages assets of Rp101.7 trillion and serves more than 2.5 million customers. While Schroders Indonesia, as of June 2025 manages funds of more than Rp56 trillion.
