Snowfall Possible in Santa Catarina Amidst Cyclone Warning
A combination of cold and humidity could bring snow and frozen rain to Santa Catarina,with an extratropical cyclone expected to bring rain and strong winds.
Residents of Santa Catarina should prepare for potential snowfall and frozen rain. According to the latest update, released Wednesday, the state faces a chance of snow extending into Thursday morning.The combination of cold temperatures and high humidity is responsible for the wintry conditions.The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has issued A warning for snowfall effective from 23h.
In addition to the potential snow, an extratropical cyclone is expected to bring rain and intense winds to the region on Thursday.

Inmet forecasts that snow accumulation could reach up to five centimeters, posing a slight risk of accidents.Minimum temperatures could plummet to -4 ° C, with the most severe cold felt in areas above 800 meters in altitude. Mountain regions may experience temperatures below 0 ° C, while the midwestern plateaus could see temperatures ranging from 1 ° C to 5 ° C.
