East German Companies Honored wiht Prestigious “lead” Economic Prize


Recognizing Innovation and Lasting Growth in eastern Germany

Seven enterprises hailing from East Germany have been distinguished with the “lead” economic prize, an accolade celebrating their pioneering spirit, forward-thinking strategies, and commitment to sustainable expansion. Thes companies serve as beacons of successful economic change in the region.

The awards ceremony, a prestigious event, took place at the state Representation of Saxony-Anhalt in Berlin. Sven Schulze, the Minister of Economic Affairs for Saxony-Anhalt, presided over the event, joined by fellow ministers and state secretaries from Saxony, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Thuringia, and Berlin, as well as representatives from Brandenburg Economic Development and the European Investment Bank in Germany.

Among the celebrated companies was Rotop Pharmaka GmbH from Dresden, a leader in the field of nuclear medicine.

The “lead” Prize: A Catalyst for Economic transformation

The annual “lead” prize is awarded to companies demonstrating remarkable innovation, a future-oriented approach, and sustainable growth practices. These qualities are considered exemplary in driving economic transformation within East Germany. The award ceremony is traditionally held in anticipation of the East German Economic Forum (OWF).

this year, the OWF, themed Next Level, is scheduled to take place from May 18th to 20th in bad Saarow. The forum serves as a crucial platform for discussing and shaping the economic future of the region.
