Sanremo 2024: Song & Social Media Strategy

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

Last night, as per the regulations, two of the three juries voted who will then decide the winner of the seventy-sixth edition of the Sanremo Festival. The jury of the public at home (which was worth 50% of the final vote) which, as we have already written in recent days, is the one that most reflects the preferences of followers and users of social media platforms, and the jury of the radio (which accounted for the other 50%).

At the end of the third evening, therefore, the partial ranking of the 15 big names who took to the Ariston stage sees Arisa in first place, followed by Sayf and Luchè, then in fourth is Serena Brancale and in fifth is Sal Da Vinci. It is now interesting to try to superimpose the mixed ranking from the third evening with those of the social accounts to try to understand a possible correspondence between the moods of the followers and those of the viewers and try to anticipate the final composition of the podium that we will know on Saturday night. The cross-media appreciation is extraordinarily consistent: in fact, leading the ranking of new ones on Instagram and TikTok is the confirmation, as from the first day of the event, of Sayf, the Genoese rapper who is capturing considerable digital attention. In total its increase was 110 thousand new followers and with a haul of 950 thousand total interactions.

Likewise, the number of interactions of the Neapolitan rapper Luchè is also significant, having collected 1.1 million reactions on the two platforms. But Arisa and Serena Brancale are also fighting to compete for the podium of reactions and new followers, but both have already achieved record views. The video clips of the first evening performances, published on the SanremoRai Instagram account, obtained the highest number of views to date. Brancale’s performance has 8.7 million views and Arisa’s has surpassed the 7 million mark. Likewise, the video clip of the first evening with Sal Da Vinci singing his song Per semper si at the Ariston, leads the ranking of views on the SanremoRai TikTok account with 5.3 million views.

These numbers therefore confirm how the public at home, who then vote by sending the SMS, is essentially one

audience that populates the platforms, this means that to try to win the Festival it has become essential not only to have the right song, but also to preside over the social media platforms with an effective strategy.
