Samsung Galaxy S26 & S26 Plus: Leaks & Indonesia Release Date

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Two Samsung cellphones, the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, have passed the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of the Ministry of Industry. This is a sign that the device will soon be released in Indonesia.

On the TKDN website, Samsung has two model codes, namely SM-S942B and SM-S2947B, which are believed to be S26 and S26 Plus. Both have a TKDN value of 37.50% each.

However, the Ultra variant for the Galaxy S26 series has not yet been seen. The reason is unknown, it is possible that it will only be available on the TKDN site in the next few days.

According to several reports, Samsung will hold an Unpacked event for the launch of the Galaxy S26 series on February 26. Both the S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra will go on sale on March 11, 2026.

Quoting Phone Arena, Samsung may not increase the price of the Galaxy S26. Reportedly there are ‘sacrifices’ to keep prices stable, by not making thin phones as previously planned.

Cost savings can also occur by using the Exynos 2600 chip. However, if there is a price increase, it is likely to be around US$50 to US$100 (Rp. 843 thousand-Rp. 1.6 million).

Phone Arena wrote that the Galaxy S26 will sell for US$799 (Rp. 13.4 million) for 128 GB and 256GB storage, estimated at US$859 (Rp. 14.4 million). Meanwhile, the S26 Plus is sold for US$999 or Rp. 16.8 million (256GB) and US$1119 or Rp. 18.8 million (512GB).

S26 and S26 Plus specifications

Rumors regarding the specifications of the S26 and S26 Plus have also been circulating for some time. For example, both main rear cameras are 50 MP.

The camera will be accompanied by a 12MO ultra-wide lens and a 10 MP telephoto (3x optical zoom). While the selfie camera is 12MP.

A number of rumors say there will be an increase in the telephoto camera, with Samsung providing 12 MP instead of 10 MP. The S26 Plus is also tipped to get a 3X zoom HDR shooting mode to increase the dynamic range of the image when zoomed in.

There isn’t much information available for the S26 Ultra. It is only stated that there will be camera improvements, but specifically for the top version of the S26 series only.

In terms of appearance, the rear camera of the S26 and S26 Plus will be placed on an ‘island’, not standing alone like before. The same thing applies to the S26 Ultra.

Meanwhile, for the screen, the S26 will have a 6.1 inch AMOLED. The S26 Plus is expected to be larger at 6.7 inches, but rumors suggest the screen will be much larger, reaching 6.9 inches.

Both phones will feature bright, clear screens and wide viewing angles. The refresh rate of both reaches 120 Hz and the possibility of getting an anti-reflective coating.

On the S26 Ultra, there may be a screen privacy feature called Flex Magix Pixel. Its function is similar to a privacy screen to hide what is displayed on the screen from other people’s eyes.

Regarding the battery, the S26 is equipped with 4,300 mAh with 20W wireless charging. A special charging upgrade will likely be available on the battery for the S26 Ultra.

Samsung will likely still use two chipsets depending on the market, namely Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Exynos 2600. However, there are also those who say the S26 uses the latest Exynos Modem 5410.

There is no RAM increase this time, 12GB is still available for the S26 and S26 Plus.

However, all this information is still just rumors. We need to wait until Samsung actually announces its newest Galaxy S series later.
