Professional snooker player SAM CRAIGIE has revealed he faced a year-long battle with a severe neck injury, confessing he doubted his ability to return to the sport.
CRAIGIE, 31, a professional since 2011, has established himself as a prominent figure in snooker.

He has recorded 101 century breaks and achieved a best ranking of third at the 2021 WST Pro Series.
Career Interrupted
“I wasn’t sure I’d play again.”
Currently, CRAIGIE is ranked 84th globally, having last competed in September 2024.
His absence followed a defeat to MICHAEL HOLT in the English Open qualifying round, prompting concerns among fans.
CRAIGIE recently shared a detailed online statement, revealing his health struggles.
He posted images from his hospital stay, showing scarring around his neck, and explained that severe shoulder pain and a slipped disc prevented him from playing.
CRAIGIE admitted he considered retiring from snooker due to the severity of the injury.
However, he is recovering well and recently had his tour card renewed.
