Dangerous places in the city of Salzburg are to be defused, gaps in the cycle path network are to be closed and new cycle paths are to be created. The goal is ambitious. The proportion of cyclists in city traffic is expected to increase to 30 percent by 2030. It is currently 24 percent. This is the plan of the city government, which is also sending a clear signal. Logically, there will be less space for cars if separate cycle paths are created. For city deputy Kay-Michael Dankl (KPÖ Plus) and planning councilor Anna Schiester (citizen list) this is not a big problem. The more cyclists there are, the fewer cars there are.
