Saint-Gaudens Hospital: Mask Mandate Returns

by Archynetys Health Desk

Like the entire territory, the Comminges-Pyrénées Hospital Center faces an active circulation of winter respiratory viruses, in particular influenza, Covid-19 and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).

These viruses particularly affect the elderly and frail people, which can lead to severe complications and an increase in hospitalizations.

In this context, the establishment is experiencing increased tension in its activity, particularly in the emergency room and in the hospitalization departments.

To protect patients, visitors and healthcare professionals, wearing a mask is mandatory for everyone entering the hospital – including visitors and accompanying persons.

Adapted visiting conditions

In addition, and in order to limit the risks of viral spread within the services, visiting conditions are temporarily adapted: they are limited to two people per patient.

Maximum visit duration: 1 hour. Authorized time slot: from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

These measures aim to preserve the safety of hospitalized patients, protect the most vulnerable populations and guarantee continuity of care in a tense epidemic context.

The Comminges-Pyrénées Hospital Center calls on everyone to take collective responsibility and recalls the importance of respecting barrier gestures.

These measures are temporary and will be adjusted according to the evolution of the health situation.
