Norwegian star Sander Sagosen is preparing for his first official appearance of the season after recovering from an injury sustained in August. The 30-year-old left back, who made the surprise switch from Kolstad to Aalborg in February, says he is motivated to show his best form again.
“It feels good to be back. The injury only kept me from throwing for two weeks, but I was able to train well in all other aspects,” Sagosen told Norwegian TV2. “Now we will see how much I can contribute on the court.”
His return comes in Trondheim, where Aalborg will meet Kolstad in a high-profile clash in the Champions League. “It’s always special to play here. Kolstad are very strong at home, but we believe in our chances,” Sagosen said.
Aalborg won two matches from three at the start of the EHF CL season.
