German general Alexander Zolfrank warns – Moscow is not only improving its weapons, but also preparing for a possible new war, writes “The New York Times“.
Although the fighting in Ukraine continues every day, Russia may already be preparing for a new war, German Army General A. Zolfrank said in an interview with “The New York Times”.
The general believes that Moscow is constantly improving and strengthening its armed forces.
Vladimir Putin‘s army is replenishing personnel and equipment reserves, developing modern weapons and using the military experience gained in new tactical schemes.
“The Russian army is restructuring its ground forces even as the offensive continues. They are constantly learning,” the general said.
According to Zolfrank, if Europe does not show resolve, a dangerous imbalance of power could arise. “We should support Ukraine or do whatever else is necessary to reduce Russian pressure,” he emphasized.
The general also expressed concern that while Putin is acting, Europe is still planning to build up its defense capabilities and fighting over funding. “Russia will win,” warns Zolfrank.
