When the end of the year arrives, the lights come on, families gather, and suddenly time seems to stand still. It’s an ideal moment to look back, to measure what 2025 has left in our hands, in our heads, and above all in our hearts.
If the grounds rest for a few days, the traces left by twelve months of investment and passion remain very much alive. The story of this year continues thanks to those who bring it to life: the volunteers, the educators, the leaders, all those who gave a little of themselves but above all a lot to others.
Silent artisans of a great collective adventure. They arrived first, left last. They installed, tidied up, accompanied or listened. They reassured a child who was afraid of his first training session, encouraged a doubting teenager, explained the rules once again, adjusted a bib, tied and retied a shoelace, smiled in the rain or in the cold.
They are the ones who, without ever seeking the light, carried French rugby throughout the year. Each gesture, each presence, each step towards the other wrote a part of this season. Nothing spectacular, often. Repeated, essential, demanding gestures. But this patient work is what builds the strength and uniqueness of our sport.
In 2025, clubs have once again proven that they are places of transmission, learning and social connections. Thanks to the daily work of managers, educators, referees, parent volunteers and supervisors, rugby schools have welcomed new players, citizen projects have multiplied, diversified practices have found their audience, and rugby has remained a benchmark for thousands of children, adolescents and families.
We can’t count the smiles, the first attempts scored, the projects set up collectively, the children returning the following Wednesday. Over the months, thousands of you have kept up what is not visible but which does everything: registrations, journeys, files, training, paperwork, meetings, late evenings and early mornings… all these discreet moments which keep a club alive. You were the creators of moments that children will never forget. You have been the guardians of a spirit that cannot be bought, cannot be replaced and does not disappear.
If the year ahead promises new challenges, it opens above all with immense gratitude to those who made 2025.
