Rory Kleinveldt Departs Northamptonshire for Western Province

Lead bowling coach Rory Kleinveldt is set to leave Northamptonshire next month,
returning to his native South Africa to take the helm as head coach of Western
Province.
Rory Kleinveldt, the 42-year-old former seamer, is making a move back to his
homeland after a stint with the Steelbacks. during his time as a player, he
participated in 109 matches, securing 217 wickets and contributing to their
T20 Blast victory in 2016.
Having previously represented South africa in four Test matches, Kleinveldt
rejoined Northamptonshire in March 2024 to lead their bowling operations.
Kleinveldt’s transition to Western Province is scheduled for mid-July. He
brings with him a wealth of experience, having played for his home state for
17 years and served as an assistant coach for two years before his move to
Wantage Road.
