Downsizing Takes Center Stage
While the show typically focuses on helping couples find larger homes, the next season will feature a unique twist: assisting an older couple in downsizing. Reedijk explained, A couple who wanted to live smaller as the children are out of the house. That way we continue to renew.
This shift reflects a growing trend in the housing market,as empty nesters seek more manageable and efficient living spaces. According to a recent report by the National Association of Realtors, approximately 25% of homeowners over the age of 55 are considering downsizing in the next five years.
Focus on Personal Stories
Beyond the downsizing couple, the “buying without Looking” team plans to delve deeper into the personal stories of its participants. one example is a blended family with five children. However, Reedijk emphasized that the show aims to avoid becoming overly sentimental. That does not mean that we consciously look for one tearjerker. It should not be an emo-TV.

New Projects on the Horizon for Roos Reedijk
In addition to her work on “Buying Without Looking,” roos Reedijk is also involved in developing a new television program. While details remain scarce,she revealed that filming is already underway for a pilot episode. We are already filming for a pilot. Several episodes are already planned.
Reedijk hinted that the show will likely be filmed on location, stating, you can’t do much in a studio.
