Rome Tree Fall: Via Tiburtina Injuries – Weather Update

by Archynetys News Desk

A large tree fell in Rome, in Va Tirburtina, near the Parco dei Caduti, due to strong winds. Two people were overwhelmed and were rescued first by passers-by and then by the 118 paramedics. As the images show, it was necessary to pass one of the two injured people, who in the meantime was lying on a stretcher, under the tree, in order to reach the ambulance. The two men, work colleagues, were transported – one in code yellow and the other in code red – to the Umberto I polyclinic. Several fire engines arrived on site. The area has been cordoned off and the road to traffic in both directions. Significant damage was caused by the falling tree, which overwhelmed five cars and hit the shutter of a shop.
