Vehicle Rollover with Entrapment Reported on Dupont Boulevard in Georgetown

Emergency services responded to a single-vehicle accident on Sunday morning involving a rollover and entrapment at the Stockley Tavern.

At approximately 9:02 a.m. on Sunday, emergency responders were called to the 26000 block of Dupont boulevard (Route 113) following reports of a vehicle rollover with one person trapped inside at the stockley Tavern in Georgetown.

According to initial reports, a vehicle had overturned in the parking lot, trapping an occupant. Millsboro Fire Company units, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police aviation’s Trooper 2 were dispatched to the scene.

Rescue crews began extrication operations upon arrival and,by 9:20 a.m., had successfully extricated the trapped individual from the vehicle. Trooper 2 landed near the tavern but was ultimately not needed. Reports from the scene indicate that the female driver was transported with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

The incident led to lane restrictions on Route 113 in the vicinity of the crash due to emergency response activities.
