On Sunday, December 14, a tragedy occurred at the Reiner family home in Los Angeles, which shocked not only the American film community, but also the entire world. Police were called to the scene after 3:30 p.m. by the couple’s daughter, Romy, who she found the bodies of her parents. Emergency services confirmed the deaths of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner.
Just hours after the bodies were discovered, police arrested Nick Reiner, the son of the murdered couple. Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced at a news conference that Nick will face two counts of murder – reports people.com.
The man is currently in custody without bail. His attorney, Alan Jackson, said Nick has not yet been cleared to appear in court for medical reasons.
According to witnesses, the day before the tragedy, Nick and his father Rob were supposed to attend a party organized by the famous presenter Conan O’Brien. There there was a loud argument between father and son. The reason for the quarrel was his refusal to go to another, 18th rehab. Sources say Nick was acting out aggressively and was clearly agitatedwhich caused anxiety among the guests.
