Road Rehabilitation Machines | Bas-Uele Projects

The governor of Bas-Uele, Mike-David Mokeni, presented to the local population, Saturday, December 20, eighteen machines intended for the rehabilitation and construction of roads.

During a public ceremony organized at the fiftieth anniversary roundabout in the town of Buta, Governor Mokeni presented these machines acquired by the provincial government with its own funds:

  • two excavators
  • two bulldozers
  • two tank carriers
  • Three chargers
  • three graders
  • three dump trucks
  • three compactors

With this endowment, Governor Mike-David Mokeni materializes his promise made when he took office seventeen months ago. He essentially announced that he was placing land use planning and road infrastructure at the heart of his government action.

Commenting on this acquisition, the provincial minister in charge of infrastructure, Elie Aluwa, said that the objective of these machines is to ensure the maintenance of rehabilitated roads, and therefore, contribute to the rehabilitation of roads in the province of national, provincial and local interest.

To this end, Elie Aluwa specifies that these machines will be deployed in two brigades: for National Road number 4 (RN4), Dulia-Bondo-Nduu section, and, for RN 6, Dunia-Aketi section.
