Former light-welterweight and welterweight world champion, RICKY HATTON, has died at the age of 46.
on Sunday morning,HATTON was discovered deceased at his residence in HYDE. According to GREATER MANCHESTER POLICE, the circumstances surrounding his death are not considered suspicious.
A police spokesperson stated: “Officers were called by a member of the public to attend Bowlacre Road, HYDE, Tameside, at 6.45am today where they found the body of a 46-year-old man. There are not currently believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
During his 15-year professional career, HATTON achieved multiple world championships in the light-welterweight division and one in the welterweight division.
The British boxing icon was planning a return to the ring in December.
