A man named Novrianto (39) was killed by his friend in West Perawang Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency, Riau. The victim was killed after being invited to a palm wine party until he was forced to do so threesome with the suspect’s wife.
This murder case was revealed after the victim’s body was found buried in the garden of the suspect’s house, on Tuesday (28/10). The victim’s body was found naked and wrapped in a blue tarpaulin.
Siak Police Chief AKBP Eka Ariandy Putra revealed that the motive behind the murder was triggered by a trivial matter. The suspect felt hurt because he was not given it hotspot wi-fi by the victim.

“The perpetrator’s motive was very trivial, simply because he was not provided with a network hotspot. “However, because he was under the influence of drinking palm wine, the perpetrator became emotional and immediately abused the victim until he died,” said AKBP Eka, Friday (31/10/2025).
Because it wasn’t given hotspot by the victim, the suspect became furious and had the intention of killing the victim. After that, the suspect saw a machete not far from the victim and then took it.
“Then quietly walked towards the victim and swung towards the crown of the head of the victim who was playing cell phone,” he said.

AKBP Eka explained that on Sunday (25/10), the suspect, Ikhsan (44) and the victim Novrianto drank palm wine at the suspect’s house in West Perawang Village, Tualang District, Siak Regency. This is the second time the Suspect and Victim have drunk palm wine after previously having an alcohol binge on October 11.
“On October 25 2025 at around 22.00 WIB, the suspect and victim drank palm wine together again at the suspect’s house,” said Eka.
Wife Forced to Threesome
On Monday (26/10) at around 03.00 WIB, the suspect forcibly grabbed his wife who was sleeping in the back room and took her to the living room. The suspect’s wife was forced to do it threesome with the victim.
“The suspect’s wife struggled, but the suspect told her to be quiet so she felt afraid. While he was drunk on palm wine, the suspect let the victim have sex with his wife,” he said.
After the wife was forced to serve the victim, it was the suspect’s turn to have sexual relations with the wife. After that, the suspect and victim drank palm wine again.
At around 04.30 WIB, the suspect’s wife took a shower while crying and prepared to go to sell at the market. The suspect then took his wife to the front of the house crying.
Annoyed at not being given a hotspot
After the suspect’s wife went to the market, the suspect and victim remained in the house. At around 04.55 WIB, the suspect asked hotspot to the victim.
“Because the suspect’s wife’s cellphone was used hotspot brought to the market by his wife, the suspect asked hotspot to the victim. However, at that time the victim died hotspot HP because lowbatt and the quota has run out,” he explained.
However, at that time the suspect saw the victim still watching pornographic videos on his cellphone. This made the suspect hurt.
“The suspect felt hurt because the victim was considered just thinking about it problem hotspot. Meanwhile, according to the suspect, the suspect’s wife was invited to have sex with the victim, the suspect was not there just thinking about it. “From that moment, the suspect’s thoughts arose to finish off and kill the victim,” he explained.

The victim was hacked repeatedly
At that moment Ikhsan was heartbroken. He then saw a machete near the door and then picked it up.
“Then the suspect stood up and walked slowly to take the machete that was in the bucket, then quietly walked towards the victim and swung at the top of the victim’s head who was playing with his cellphone,” he explained.
Suddenly the victim was shocked and asked ‘why you?’, but the suspect slashed the victim again. The victim managed to fend him off and tried to save himself by running towards the gate.
Because the gate was locked, the victim then ran to the side of the fence. The suspect, whose eyes had darkened, slashed the victim several times all over his body.
“At around 05.34, the suspect returned home to wash the machete and rolled up the mattress and cloth that had blood on it to take it and throw it behind the house, covered with dry leaves,” he explained.
Victim’s Body Buried
After seeing the victim not moving, the suspect took a tarpaulin and used it to cover the victim’s body. After that, the suspect piled it with banana leaves and dry leaves.
“In the morning at around 06.30 WIB, the suspect’s wife returned home and asked where her friend was, the suspect answered ‘her friend has picked her up’,” he said.
At around 06.30 WIB, the suspect dug a hole in his garden. After that, he put the victim’s body into the hole with a tarpaulin.

“Then on October 27 the suspect fled to Pekanbaru and the victim’s body was found by the suspect’s wife on the afternoon of October 28,” he said.
The police then investigated the discovery of the body. The suspect was arrested on October 29 2025, in Pekanbaru City.
Currently the suspect has been named a suspect and is being detained at the Siak Police. He was charged under Article 340 of the Criminal Code, subsidiary to Article 338 of the Criminal Code, which carries a minimum prison sentence of 20 years or life.
