After the gigantic success of Resident Evil Requiem, which became the fastest-selling installment in the history of the series, Capcom is not slowing down and is already planning the future of the brand.
The latest reports indicate that the Japanese giant has started work on Resident Evil 10. According to a well-known informant, Dusk Golem, this project has been in development for over six years, although in the meantime it has already undergone one internal restart. Despite the advanced concept, fans must be patient because the premiere of “Ten” is still at least a few years away.
However, the real salvation for fans of the series is the scale of operations conducted by Capcom. To ensure regular deliveries of new installments of the brand, the studio is to develop 4 to 7 different projects from the Resident Evil universe at the same time. This strategy aims to maintain constant interest in the brand over the next decade, offering players a variety of experiences – from completely new stories to long-awaited revivals of classics.
In the near future, the publishing calendar will be filled primarily with remakes. Before the release of the tenth installment of the series, players can expect refreshed versions of Resident Evil Code: Veronica and Resident Evil Zero. Moreover, there are also rumors of early work on a remake of the first game, which suggests that Capcom intends to thoroughly modernize the entire story of Raccoon City for a new generation of players.
