Several people have died in an explosion in New Delhi.

The explosion took place at 2 p.m. Swedish time near a metro station at the Red Fort in India’s capital, New Delhi.
At least eight people have died at the scene. Another 20 are injured, three of whom are considered to be in a critical condition, writes the Times of India.
Several cars have caught fire and “highest alertness” has been announced.
– All our teams are present at the scene, says the deputy fire chief to the news agency Ani.
A special police force was also called to the scene.
The explosion is said to have occurred in a car – but the cause is unclear.
A witness to the incident tells about the huge bang.
– It felt as if we were all going to die, he says according to the Times of India.
