Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Realme officially introduced its newest cellphone, the C85 Series through an event Media Hands-On in Jakarta, Thursday (20/11/2025). This series comes as the successor to the Realme C75 and brings several big changes, including the large battery that was previously present in the C-series line.
Realme Indonesia Public Relations Lead, Krisva Angnieszca, said this launch was an important step for the company in strengthening their position in the entry-level market.
“We are presenting a new standard in this segment. Realme C85 is the first cellphone in Indonesia with IP69K, where the cellphone is resistant to liquids, high pressure water and extreme temperatures,” said Krisva.
At this launch, the company not only brought major improvements in terms of battery and device durability, but also included an attempt to break the “Guinness World Record”.
First 7,000mAh Battery in its Class
Realme C85 comes with a jumbo 7,000mAh battery. The capacity is designed for users who frequently work, watch and do outdoor activities.
The company claims that this cellphone battery can last up to 11 hours of active use, including streaming, chatting and navigation, with only the need for recharging in around 5-15 minutes using 45W fast charging.
Not only is this battery durable, it has also been tested to be able to work stably in extreme conditions ranging from hot temperatures of 40°C to cold temperatures of -14 degrees Celsius, without reducing performance.
IP69 Pro, Highest Protection in its Class
Another attraction is the Pro’s high-end IP69 protection, a combination of four resistance standards: IP69K, IP69, IP68, and IP66. Krisva explained that IP69K is a key feature in the latest series.
“This standard is designed to withstand high pressure water spray and extreme temperatures of up to 100 degrees Celsius,” he said.
This Android cellphone can also survive in water one meter deep for 30 minutes. Realme said that the device has been tested for 36 types of liquids including water, coffee, tea, cooking oil, milk and petrol.
