AMES – Iowa State women’s basketball coach Bill Fennelly likes to send his players a video of Dallas Cowboys defensive back Alijah Clark. In the video, Clark is playing defense on a kick return, and he constantly gets pushed to the ground and keeps getting up, eventually finding his way to the football and knocking it out for a key turnover.

“We need guys like that,” Fennelly said. “Especially now (due to the team’s injuries). We’re not as skilled. We’re not as smart. We’re not as whatever. So you’ve got to figure out other options.”
