Ravenna School Stabbing: Teen Arrested, Parents Charged – News

by Archynetys News Desk

In Riolo Terme, in the Ravenna area, a 16-year-old stabs a 19-year-old student in the thigh on the bus – perhaps for reasons related to drug use – and ends up reported while his parents, who kicked, punched and pushed the Carabinieri during a search for drugs in their home, were arrested.

In Genoa, still on a bus, a 14-year-old was stabbed by another minor: he underwent emergency surgery and was hospitalized with a reserved prognosis, as was a 20-year-old who in Lecco was stabbed in the chest by a 25-year-old, arrested by the Carabinieri. In Italy, the alarm remains high for young people and very young people who do not hesitate to confront themselves with a ‘blade’ in their hands at the height of arguments often generated by what are defined as ‘trivial reasons’.

A crackdown on edged weapons, including the ban on sale to minors and administrative sanctions for parents of minors who violate it, arrived a few days ago in the stamped text of the security decree. In Romagna, a 16-year-old was reported on charges of aggravated assault after injuring a 19-year-old with a kitchen knife yesterday morning on a bus full of students that left Faenza and headed to the Riolo Terme hotel institute. Once he reached his destination, the attacker fled while the injured young man, rescued by 118, was transported to the Faenza hospital where, after being treated, he was discharged with a prognosis of 25 days.

The weapon was found inside one of the town’s dumpsters by the Carabinieri who, suspecting an injury attributable to disagreements related to the use of drugs, searched the 16-year-old’s home: here the boy’s parents showed intolerance of the control by uttering insulting phrases towards the soldiers and then attacking them with kicks, punches and pushes which cost the two – both over fifty – the arrest on charges of violence, resistance and injuries to a public official while the minor was entrusted to a community.

In Liguria, a 14-year-old of Tunisian origin who was stabbed on a city bus late yesterday evening in Genoa Rivarolo in Valpolcevera was hit in the abdomen and arm by slashes launched by another minor, an Italian of Albanian origins, arrested by the men of the Flying Squad.

He underwent emergency surgery at the ‘Villa Scassi’ hospital and is under a guarded prognosis and his condition is stable. The mayor, Silvia Salis, also spoke about what happened in the Ligurian capital. In giving the young man and his family her “strongest embrace”, she warned that “without adequate resources and constant support from the State, it is impossible to provide the answers that the territory deserves and rightly demands”.

In the opinion of the first Genoese citizen, “security is not just a local issue, but above all a task of the State towards the citizens. We are here, but we cannot be left alone”.

Finally, in Lombardy, a 20-year-old was injured at the height of an argument that broke out in Lecco in via Sassi. He was hit in the chest and taken to the nearby ‘Manzoni’ hospital where he is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis. The Carabinieri – who found a switchblade not far from the scene of the attack – stopped and arrested a 25-year-old alleged to have done the wounding.
