Railway Station Accident: Emergency Response & Injuries Reported

In the afternoon, an accident happened at the railway station in Senec. A train hit a person on the tracks. All emergency services were dispatched to the scene.

As the Operations Center of the Fire and Rescue Service in Bratislava confirmed for regiony.sk, the person survived the collision with the train, but suffered injuries – he is supposed to have an injured lower limb.

According to available information, the person was hit by Passenger Train 4717 running between Bratislava Main Station and the city of Galanta. As reported by the Slovakian Railway Company (ZSSK), traffic at the railway station in Senec was interrupted for several tens of minutes. In this context, passenger trains Os 4721 and Os 4718 were canceled.
