Outgoing Minister of Transport Martin Kupka (ODS) already announced on Saturday on the X social network about the planned dismissal of the Director General of the Railway Administration (SŽ) Jiří Svoboda. According to his words, he agreed on this with the chairman of the board of directors of SŽ Martin Červíček. The presidency of the STAN movement also called for the dismissal of Svoboda on Saturday.
He reacted in the same way as the STAN presidency did to Tuesday’s intervention by the National Central Office against Organized Crime (NCOZ), during which detectives found more than 80 million crowns worth of cash in crowns, euros and dollars in a safe at Svoboda’s home.
Svoboda was not accused of anything and described tens of millions of crowns in cash as the savings of his father and grandfather, whom he helped with the administration.
