Fiorello and Fabrizio Biggio hosted the episode on Wednesday 13 January Pennicance where Giorgia Meloni‘s unlikely interventions continued and some background information was revealed on Rai Radio2. Is transmission at risk?
Fiorello and Giorgia Meloni, endless back and forth
Table of Contents
Pennicance is enriched with a very respectable (but obviously fake) author, that is Giorgia Meloni. In fact, the Prime Minister’s unlikely interventions continue, after the one at the beginning of the week.
The ‘premier’ asks Fiorello: “Am I doing well, Rosario? Do you want the next lines like Angioni or Cirilli? I really like this thing of being an author… do I give up the Presidency of the Council? Are you making me permanent?”. They arrive like this the new jokes: “The PD wants to change its name, it will be called… Let’s Lose Everywhere! Who wrote One Hundred Years of Solitude? Carlo Calenda! And what comes out if you mix Red Flag with Black Face? The AC Milan anthem!”.
But there are many politicians who propose themselves, including… an “artificial” Giuseppe Conte: “But is smoking in the bathroom in high school a requirement to be the author of Fiorello? I can even play the little game with my hands with my disappearing thumb!”.
Fiorello, the appeal for the Teatro delle Vittorie
Fiorello then moves on to current cultural and institutional events: “I read that the Teatro delle Vittorie is for sale. An online petition has been launched to ‘save him’ and we will certainly sign it too – explains the showman -. Don’t touch the Teatro delle Vittorie, actually, name it after Pippo Baudo!”.
Fiorello, background on Rai Radio2: Is Pennicanza at risk?
Speaking of the world of entertainment, after Pier Silvio Berlusconi‘s fictitious incursion, Fiorello reveals some background information regarding Rai Radio2. Maybe even Pennicance is it in danger of closing?
The showman clarifies: “They’re firing everyonebut we stay. They’ve already taken Cremonesi away from us, who will be in Sanremo, then it’s been two days since director Alibrandi tells me ‘I should talk to you’… I pretend nothing happened! I announce that the next ones to jump should be GR and then Onda Verde!”, he concludes jokingly.
At Pennicanza we celebrate
A historic anniversary is also celebrated: 50 years of the Republic. And in the studio everyone displays a copy of the newspaper for the occasion: “I remember when I went to the newsstand at the time, this newspaper struck me. And it was there that I understood for the first time that ‘Repubblica’ is written with two Bs!”, jokes the showman.
Also in the room is Franco Bevilacqua, the historic head of graphics, portrayed in a photo of the newspaper’s “number zero” – shown live – together with Eugenio Scalfari: ‘They were wonderful years – says Bevilacqua -. Everyone said that we would close soon, but we knew we were doing something revolutionary.” And Giorgia Meloni also sent her best wishes: ‘Repubblica is turning 50! And I haven’t bought it for 50 years. But they say that it’s her death that cleans our window panes…’.
Fiorello and Biggio return with Pennicance Thursday 15 January from 1.45pm on Rai Radio2 and on digital terrestrial channel 202.
