Rælingen School Violence: Student Exposure & Details

The police have no control over the perpetrator.

The police report that one person has been subjected to violence at Rælingen upper secondary school in Akershus.

– We currently do not know whether there are serious injuries, writes operations manager Kjetil Elnan Ringseth.

The police and ambulance are on the scene.

– We were contacted by staff at the school at 09.48 that one person, I would assume it is a student, has been found injured inside the school. Presumably after an episode of violence, operations manager Kjetil Elnan Ringseth tells VG at 10.04am, shortly after the police arrived at the school.

The police do not yet know what kind of violence is involved, or what kind of injuries the person has.

– He is being examined by an ambulance, says Ringseth.

As of now, the police have no control over the perpetrator, and so far no suspects. They also do not know how many people were involved.

– We are aware that there was a conflict at the school on Monday and we are investigating whether there may be a connection, says Ringseth to Romerikes Blad.
