Nainggolan passionately defended De Rossi’s role at the club. “De Rossi’s firing was a baffling move by the management. They had just given him a new contract, and he had demonstrated excellent form, outperforming Mourinho in the preceding season.” His frustration was palpable when he labeled the decision “inexplicable.”
