OTHÓN P. BLANCO, QRoo, December 28, 2025.- Quintana Roo concluded the year 2025 with a positive balance in sports, registering important results in national competitions, including the CONADE National Olympiad and Paralympics, as well as in the National Popular Games and the National Meeting of Indigenous and Traditional Games and Sports.
According to the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (CODEQ), chaired by Jacobo Arzate Hop, Quintana Roo athletes had institutional support for their participation in the country’s main competitions, which allowed them to consolidate outstanding results and strengthen sports development in the entity.
One of the most relevant achievements of the year was recorded in the CONADE National Paralympics, where the state delegation achieved a historic participation by obtaining a total of 78 medals, surpassing the 63 medals achieved in 2021. Of the total, 29 gold, 25 silver and 24 bronze medals were recorded.
In the CONADE 2025 National Olympiad, Quintana Roo finished among the top 10 places in the country, after winning 239 medals, distributed in 67 gold, 88 silver and 88 bronze.

Likewise, the state achieved unprecedented results in specific disciplines. In roller skating, he was proclaimed national champion for the first time, with 39 medals; while in sailing, he won the national championship for the second consecutive year with 22 medals. In addition, the first medal in the history of the state in sport climbing was achieved.
At the National Meeting of Native and Traditional Games and Sports 2025, held in Cuernavaca, Morelos, the Quintana Roo delegation added three medals: one gold, one silver and one bronze.
Finally, in the National Popular Indigenous Games, Quintana Roo was crowned national champion in volleyball, in addition to obtaining two silver medals and one bronze in popular martial arts, thus closing a significant year for state sports.
