On that day in 1920, Hasan Bey Agayev, one of the important figures of our first Republic, was murdered in Tbilisi.

Hasan Bey was born in Ganja in 1873.
Although his father wanted him to receive a religious education and engage in spirituality, he preferred a secular education. First, he graduated from the Ganja classical gymnasium, then from the medical faculty of Moscow University.
He asks oil millionaire Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev for help due to the financial difficulties he faced while studying in Moscow. Taghiyev agrees on one condition: after graduating from the university, he should work wherever he wants so that he can cover the expenses incurred.
