Qualcomm Chips: Faster Phones & Longer Battery Life

Built on a 3 -nanometer process, Snapdragon 8 Elite 5 5 chips have a processor that should be 20% more efficient than the previous generation, at least that’s what Qualcomm argues.

According to the manufacturer, the processor of these chips is even 35% more energy efficient, which should contribute to increasing the autonomy of smartphones.

The Snapdragon 8 elite 5 5 chips have eight cores, two of which can reach a maximum frequency of 4.6GHz, while the rest are limited to 3.62GHz.

The video card is also 23% more efficient and 20% more efficient. Overall, this should offer an extra autonomy of one hour and 48 minutes in the case of games, according to the manufacturer.

Qualcomm expects the first smartphones with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to be released as soon as possible.
