Born from the Past, Reimagined by AI
The Inverse draws inspiration from the iconic Y2K-era PUMA Inhale, a sneaker that has recently seen a resurgence thanks to its reinterpretation in PUMA’s collaboration with A$AP Rocky. However, instead of simply bringing back the classic, PUMA took a bold step forward. Using generative AI, designers were able to reinterpret and iterate on the Inhale’s design, resulting in a completely new and innovative silhouette.
A Sleek and Modern Aesthetic
Compared to its archival predecessor, the Inverse boasts a sleeker profile and a modern mesh-forward materiality. Curvilinear overlays add a touch of aerodynamic flair, while the midsole cage provides a technical and contemporary aesthetic. The inaugural colorway showcases this updated design beautifully, with a fiery red mesh upper accented by black and amethyst purple.
