Key figures within the Federation of Transport Unions (FTS) at CITUB and the Federation of Transport Workers at Podkrepa Laboratory have voiced strong criticism of Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev, accusing him of obstructing meaningful dialog. Alexander Shopov,chairman of the FTS,confirmed that signature collection is underway across all sectors of Sofia’s public transport,including the Metropolitan EAD.Ivan Kirilov, chairman of the Federation of Transport Workers, emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that the signature drive aims to meet the legal requirement of securing support from at least half of the public transport workforce within a two-day period to authorize a strike under the Law on the Settlement of Collective Labor Disputes.

The protest of workers will continue Saturday and Sunday if no miracle happens.
