PSI Software Delisting: What Investors Need to Know

The PSI Software share is about to finally leave the stock market. While Warburg Pincus is preparing to delist with over 83 percent of the shares, the company is also securing a strategically important order from the steel industry. Time as a listed company is running out.

SSAB relies on PSImetals

The Swedish steel group SSAB Europe has commissioned PSI Software to implement PSImetals. The software solution is intended to digitize and automate the mini-factory in Luleå – a central component of the company’s “Green Steel Transformation“.

The order confirms PSI’s technological position in the metal sector. The industry’s trust in the Berlin software company is particularly evident in complex transformation projects towards sustainable production.

The most important facts at a glance:

  • New major order: SSAB Europe implements PSImetals for green steel transformation
  • Location: Digitization of the mini factory in Luleå, Sweden
  • Takeover secured: Warburg Pincus controls over 83% of the voting rights
  • Delisting announced: Withdrawal from the stock exchange will be initiated after closing

Warburg Pincus takes control

The financial investor Warburg Pincus has secured a clear majority through its holding company Zest Bidco. With over 83 percent of the shares, the takeover is effectively completed. Only E.ON remains on board as a major strategic shareholder with around 17.77 percent.

The next step follows consistently: after the transaction has been closed, delisting is initiated. For the remaining minority shareholders, this means the end of the tradability of their shares. The era of PSI Software as a public share ends after decades of listing on the stock exchange.
