Wednesday, 07 February 2024 23:53

Our Coach İsmail Kartal made a statement to the broadcaster after the match in which we beat Gaziantep Football Club 2-0 in the Round of 16 of the Ziraat Turkish Cup.

First of all, touching on the field ground, İsmail Kartal said, “I mentioned that the field ground was bad in the league match 2 weeks ago. I say the same thing again today. It was difficult for both team players to play football here. King’s ankle sprained on this bad ground. His wrist was bandaged. It is not clear when he will return to us. As coaches, we are people who contribute to Turkish football. Our aim is to contribute to the development of football and take football to places, but how will the players of both teams play football on such a ground? During the half-time, my players said: ‘We were surprised at how to fight on the field rather than playing football. We can’t pass, our feet are slipping. “There is extreme fatigue in our muscles,” they said.

Tennis: Austria back in World Group I after victory over Ireland

After the singles successes of Dominic Thiem and Sebastian Ofner on Saturday, Alexander Erler/Lucas Miedler followed up in the doubles on Sunday and beat Connor Gannon/David O’Hare 6:1,7:6(5).

After completing their mandatory task, Austria returns to World Group I and has the chance to secure a place in the 2025 qualifying round in September. According to the association, the draw will not take place until mid-March at the earliest.

Like Thiem and Ofner before them, Erler (ATP doubles 37th) and Miedler (39th) were big favorites on the relatively slow hard court. The 21-year-old Gannon was considered a completely unknown quantity, the 34-year-old O’Hare played his last doubles recorded by the ATP in 2022.

The first set was over after 23 minutes thanks to three breaks, in the second the ÖTV duo experienced much more resistance. We went into the tiebreak without losing serve, in which Erler/Miedler secured the win with three points in a row after trailing 4:5. “We had a great start to the game, and we were perhaps a little luckier at the end,” said Miedler. His final singles game against Michael Agwi only had statistical value.

The Prosecutors Case in the Daniel Alves Sexual Assault Trial: Video Evidence and Testimony

According to the prosecutor, the videos clearly show the complainant “taking Alves’ hand and going to dance with her cousin.”

It was a terrible effort for her to explain what happened. She was absolutely affected and devastated when talking about the sexual assault.

The defense asks ‘if they were uncomfortable, why didn’t they leave?’. No woman in a normal situation thinks that a sexual assault will happen in a nightclub. If there hadn’t been the aggression, they would remember him as a disgusting man who danced with them. – Elisabet Jimenez, prosecutor at the Public Ministry of Spain.

As for whether they kissed or not, what the victim says (on the police camera) is ‘he started kissing me and I said I wanted to get out of there’. Daniel Alves may have kissed her, she may have kissed him, but if at any point she said ‘it’s over’, it’s over.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office disregarded alcohol as a mitigating penalty, claiming:

“The minimum sentence of 4 years is only applicable to other, less serious cases.”

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Prevails in Arbitration Battle with Blue Jays

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Wins Arbitration ⁢Case Against⁣ Blue Jays

According to a report‍ by Shi⁢ Davidi of Sportsnet, ⁣arbitrators have ruled in ⁣favor of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. in his arbitration⁢ hearing ⁣against the Blue Jays. Guerrero, the slugging first baseman, will be receiving the $19.9MM salary that his camp had sought, surpassing the team’s $18.05MM filing figure.

Significance of Guerrero’s Arbitration Case

Guerrero’s ⁤arbitration case stands out as the most significant⁢ of ‍this offseason. Among all players ⁣who‍ went to a hearing,⁤ he ‌is⁣ set to receive the highest‌ salary. The $1.85MM⁣ difference between ‍his filing figure and the team’s proposal⁤ ranks as the second-largest ⁣gap of the offseason, trailing only the $1.9MM spread ⁤in the Rangers’ and Adolis⁤ García’s‌ submissions.

Guerrero’s Past Arbitration History

This marks Guerrero’s third trip through the arbitration‍ process as a ⁤three-time All-Star. ⁤His early qualification for arbitration as a⁤ Super Two player during the 2021-22 offseason, coupled with his ‌impressive performance, has led to substantial earnings. Despite⁣ not⁣ reaching a settlement⁢ this ⁣time, Guerrero secures a $5.4MM‌ raise compared to⁢ last season.

Although Guerrero’s numbers in the previous season were solid, they fell short of expectations for⁤ a player⁢ of his ca liber.
