Among the upcoming titles should be a project that has a chance to dominate the sales charts.
Sony believes the best-selling PlayStation 5 game isn’t even out yet. In an interview with the BBC, Eric Lempel, senior vice president of marketing and sales, stated this. According to him, the PS5 is just getting off the ground and the real sales force is yet to come. He did not reveal the specific title, but expectations are high.
He is currently leading the rankings Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, he follows Spider-Man 2. However, there are other big titles on the horizon – Marvel’s Wolverineambitious saros and above all GTA 6for which analysts anticipate sales comparable to the phenomenon GTA 5. Despite the postponement to November 2026, the hype remains enormous.
The PS5 has already sold over 84 million units, and Sony suggests that the console is about halfway through its life cycle. At the same time, the company boasted other figures: Ghost of Yotei sold 3.3 million copies while Destiny 2 unfortunately, it did not meet the expected sales.
